What to expect
How do I go about booking a show?
Please contact us to discuss your entertainment wish list. We will discuss your vision, as well as our venue requirements and move forward from there.
What happens when the performers arrive on-site?
Circus Alchemy ensures that there is a safe space for performers during the show. Upon arrival at the event we will perform a site walk through, a safety check of all gear and fire extinguishing equipment (for all fire shows), and check sound and lighting. We prefer to perform a venue walk through before the date of the event to ensure the space meets our safety standards to ensure your guests enjoy the show to its fullest.
How long does the performance run?
We have a wide range of prepared shows of various lengths, from 3 minutes to 30 minutes. Custom shows are possible and show length is unlimited! We will work with you to create the perfect show, of any length, for your entertainment needs.
Can you perform to music of my choice?
We can perform to our own music or to music which you choose. We are happy to work within a given theme for your event!
How much space do you need?
Space requirements vary dramatically depending on the type of performance you are booking. Fire acts require anywhere from 12 square feet to 30 square feet. Stilting requires a ceiling height of at least 10 feet. Aerial acts require a ceiling height of anywhere from 16-40 feet. Circus Alchemy can custom fit a performance to almost any type of space. Once we know your venue details we can help create the perfect show for your needs.
What is involved in a show?
Our shows include music, costuming, and character work. Depending on your vision we can provide an interactive experience with your guests. All fire performances will have trained safety technicians on hand.
What about costuming? Can you wear what I want?
Costuming is very flexible. We have a variety of stock costumes for various characters, styles and themes, or discuss your vision with us and we can develop custom theme costumes for your event.
Safety
Is fire performance dangerous?
Circus Alchemy always places safety first. We meet or exceed the North American Fire Arts Association’s Safety Guidelines and all of our performers are fully insured. All performers are accompanied by trained fire safety technicians who ensure both the audience, venue, and performers are safe at all times.
Will a fire show set off the fire alarms/sprinklers?
All venues are laid out differently and use different types of fire/heat/smoke detection systems. During our walk through of the venue, we will identify and take into account the systems that are in place to ensure that everything runs smoothly for your performance. Contact us to discuss your venue and vision and we will help develop a fire plan with you.

What are your rates?
Circus Alchemy will provide you with the perfect show to meet a wide variety of entertainment needs. We can provide anything from a single performer doing a three minute piece to a full-scale thirty minute production. Due to the wide variety of services we offer, please contact us to discuss your vision so we can provide you with an accurate quote.
What is included in the cost?
Your services will include music, performance, and costuming as well as insurance for the performers, audience, and venue. We will also provide fire safety technicians for all fire performances. For most shows, fuel cost and travel (within the GTA) are included in the price.
